iPhone Cases

What iPhone case do you use? Do you like functional cases with battery packs like Mophie, protective cases including Otterbox, or minimalist cases such as bumpers and screen protectors? Anybody just use their phone naked?

The iPhone is such a sleek, thin device that I'm starting to hate bulky cases. I'm using a Mophie Plus but am really considering just using a simple Apple bumper and Power Support screen protectors on the front and back. The iPhone is not a feather and I'm beginning to think that's really all you need if you are careful. Take your phone out of your giant, bulky case for a second and you might understand. The Trent IMP70D external battery pack fits in a pocket or bag and can provide your phone with three charge cycles so you don't have to use an enormous battery pack case

What about you?

It's expensive, but I'm using the lifeproof case, which is water proof as well as shock proof and such. It hardly makes the phone any larger unlike other similar but cheaper products.

I personally have a blue tooth keyboard case, so I don't suppose I count. However, I have something to reccomend to you. Before I used my keyboard case, I got a leather case from the apple store, that covered my screen with a snap section, that I could pull up when using the phone. It did not increase the bulk of the phone at all, and was enough protection if your careful. Of course I used one of the clear screen protectors along with that just because I'm anal and protective.

I don't know the brand of the case that came with my iPhone but it has backing and a bumper only. My iPod had a leather case which went on the belt and did bulk it up quite a bit. I appreciate now being able to put the iPhone into a shirt pocket even. Just be careful with them open pockets, but I can put it inside my buttoned shirt pocket of my uniform and be safe that way, RefreshaBraille on the belt, though with the uniform it's gotta be stowed so it's in a pants pocket. I agree about the bulk I'm happier without it.

I use the Griffin case. It does make the phone a bit larger, but I figure the protection is worth that. It still fits well in my purse, and that's what counts. If I did use a battery case, I'd probably use the Moffie.

I bought the moffie, and didn't like the extra size it gave, which was probably even bigger than the griffin survivor. I bought the lifeproof partly because you can get a bike bar mount to fix to a bicycle or motorcycle. I ride a tandem, so wanted that capability.

Does it fit in your Murse, Kevin?
I'm afraid my leanings don't quite go that way. I mean, I live near Portland Oregon and all, but still. lol

I like natural miterials, so use a leather wallet that has the phones controls open. This allows me to carry money, some cards, ID, so when I grab my wallet I've got everything I need.

Guess that means you can't put the wallet and comb in the back pocket like your stereotypical western man. Or can you? How does that work? You have now got me curious.

goes in my pocket Leo, this case hardly increases the phones size at all while being very protective.

Sure! You can put the wallet in your pack pocket. It is like a regular wallet, just on one side you have your phone.

call me bolky but i still like otterbox. the one with the clip. i've got it for my phone, mom's got it for hers and a friend of hers has it as well. it's big and bolky but with how much my phone's gotten dropped. i like it built in screan protector so no extra money... expensive but worth it.

yes, the defender is a case i'll be staying with. having a cat and being around kids that case even though it does bulk up the phoneis a very useful thing to have. It still fits in my pocket too quite easily.

I use an Otterbox but rarely have it in the beltclip thingy. It's saved my phone's ass many a time. lol
I'm looking into one of the bluetooth keyboard cases though because I think that would be pretty awesome.
For anyone who uses one, what kind do you use and how well do you like it? Are the keys easily felt?
